Painting painted during my artistic residency in Iceland.
This work is what I wanted to do and I couldn't. When I arrived in Iceland, one of my goals was to see these small birds physically, and to be able to paint them naturally, but by the time I went they had already migrated... So I gave up on painting them. One night, my last night in Iceland, I had a farewell dinner with the big family I had that month, and we decided that we would paint with the leftover canvases I had. From that Drink and Draw this little guy emerged, brother of those who stayed at Pedro and Ramona's house. I didn't get to see Puffins, but Iceland gave me something much better.
