From one of my excursions to see the northern area of Iceland, the Diamonds of Iceland circle.
Here we are in Hverir and its fumaroles, a place not recommended for those with a very sensitive sense of smell. It is an area of much geothermal activity, where we find boiling mud pools and this beautiful fumarole. Don't touch anything that smokes... A drunk kid did it once and ended up with burns all over his body.
